On a scarlet and blue field, parted in a silhouette of the Alamo with scarlet architectural details, encompassed by gold fringe at the sides and bottom; below a white faceted star, a flint Indian arrowhead of French horizon blue with an olive drab block "T," beneath a scroll of the same arching up and doubled dark blue bearing the inscription "THIRTY-SIXTH INFANTRY DIVISION BAND" in white letters, along the bottom center a spray of palms in olive drab between the streamers Meritorious Unit Commendation (Army) embroidered "EUROPEAN THEATER" and the French Croix de Guerre streamer embroidered "VOSGES."
